The constantly changing complex global security challenges in the undersea environment require innovative warfare solutions that constantly push the limits of technology. Since AAC’s founding in 1989, AAC has been focused on the design and delivery of technologically advanced systems for the warfighter through execution of “Rapid Capability Insertion (RCI)” programs.

Leveraging commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) technology in development enables Naval Platform’s onboard computing power to grow at nearly the same rate as commercial industry facilitating regular updates to signal-processing software to maximize the utilization of the additional computing power. RCI programs provide vast improvements in sensor performance utilization without changing the actual sensor, therefore providing the most advanced sensing capabilities at the most reasonable cost.

AN/SQQ-89(V)15

The AN/SQQ-89(V)15 system employs an open architecture business model using state-of-the-art commercial computing technology and cloud computing advancements. The system is designed to achieve a single, common hypervisor technology configuration to reduce system life cycle costs while allowing for rapid war fighting capability.

Mission in a Box (MiB)

Mobile Command Control and Communications (C3)

AAC continues its tradition of Rapid Capability Insertion (RCI) leadership with its Mobile Command, Control, and Communications node, developing with the latest Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology in a seamlessly integrated, flexible, extensible open architecture, solution for deploying military combat missions. MiB is deployable for both vessel of opportunity and shore-based applications. The MiB is currently fielded as the LCS Mission Package Portable Control Station (MPPCS) is a tailored MiB to support unmanned mine countermeasures (MCM) and next generation unmanned systems.

Next Generation Combat System (NGCS)

Mission Package Common Solutions

AAC continues its tradition of Rapid Capability Insertion (RCI) leadership with its Mission Package Common Solutions on LCS, offering the latest technology in seamlessly integrated, flexible, open architecture, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)-based systems. Theses solutions are extensible to other platforms and shore-based deployments.

Littoral Combat Ship (LCS)
Integrated Systems

Mission Package Computing Equipment (MPCE)

The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Module systems rely on the common computing environment that the Mission Package Computing Environment (MPCE) provides. MPCE is comprised of the common hardware and common network infrastructure.

Mission Package Portable Control Station (MPPCS)

The LCS MPPCS provides a portable computing environment, operator workstations, network and communications equipment to operate the LCS mission packages. It’s available in single or dual 20-ft equivalent unit (TEU) configurations.

MPS/MPOE Software

The Mission Package Operating Environment (MPOE) provides a cyber secure operating system for the tactical Mission Package application software. The Mission Package Services (MPS) is a set of utilities to manage the computing resources, networks, operator workstations for the application software.

Common Mission Package Trainer

The CMPT is a suite of scenario based tactical watchstation trainers that support individual and team training for various LCS Mission Packages.

Mission Module On Board Trainer

The MMOBT is a ship board deployment of the CMPT, a suite of scenario based tactical watchstation trainers that support individual and team training for various LCS Mission Packages.
